Juneau County Area Top 10 Prep Football Power Rankings Week 5
- Ithaca Bulldogs (5-0) – Ithaca looks like it could run through the conference after a dominating road victory to spoil the 2 time defending Scenic Bluff Champ Cashton Eagles.
- Berlin Indians (4-1) – Berlin made easy work of Mauston blanking the Golden Eagles 42-0 last Friday.
- Wisconsin Dells Chiefs (4-1) – The Chiefs stomped another opponent defeating Ripon 47-6 to stay pace with Berlin atop the South Central Conference.
- Nekoosa Papermakers (4-1) – Nekoosa continues their surprise start with a hammering of Wautoma to move to 4-1 on their season.
- Hillsboro Tigers ^1 (4-1) Hillsboro got a surprise last week when quarterback Miles Ravenscroft was cleared to play football after a fear would be he’s miss the entire season. Miles led his Tigers to a come from behind homecoming victory over Royall.
- Bangor Cardinals ^2 (3-2) Bangor throttled Necedah 50-0 and will try to defeat Royall for a 3rd time in a year span this Friday.
- Royall Panther -2 (3-2) Royall could not hang on to a 20-8 fourth quarter lead over Hillsboro and now may have to pull off an upset to make it into the post season.
- Cashton Eagles -1 (3-2) Cashton got hammered by Ithaca and will try to regroup its young team with an important matchups with Hillsboro, Bangor, and Cashton coming up.
- Waupun Warriors New (4-1) Waupun is off to a quiet 4-1 start in their first year in the South Central Conference.
- New Lisbon Rockets New (1-4) It’s a struggle to find a 10th team to put into our power rankings but will include New Lisbon this week after its come from behind victory over Brookwood.

*This is just a “fun” poll of local team around Juneau County or in the Scenic Bluffs or South Central Conferences. This does not mean the #4 ranked team for example would necessarily beat the #9 ranked team as I am not doing this by divisions.

Royall Stays Perfect with Victory over Necedah in SBC Volleyball Action
The Royall Panthers rolled over Necedah 3-0 Tuesday night. Royall and Necedah played a tight first set that saw both teams serving set point but the Panthers eventually outlasted Necedah 27-25. Royall rolled over Necedah 25-6 in set 2 before taking down Necedah 25-21 in set 3 to complete the sweep. Bria Gruen and Elizabeth Klipstein both had strong games for Royall. Ashleigh Klipstein had the set winning kill for Royall in set 2. The Panthers improve to 4-0 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference and 9-7 overall. Necedah drops to 0-4 and 2-5 overall.
Juneau County Area Top 10 Prep Football Power Rankings Week 4
- Ithaca Bulldogs (4-0) – The Bulldogs came from behind to defeat Bangor 14-10 and give them the inside track on winning the Scenic Bluffs Conference.
- Berlin Indians (3-1) – Berlin blanked formerly undefeated Nekoosa to start their South Central Conference season 2-0.
- Wisconsin Dells Chiefs (3-1) ^1 The Chiefs walloped Adams-Friendship 55-7 last week. On paper the Dells should be able to rack up a few wins over the next few weeks.
- Nekoosa Papermakers (3-1) -1 Nekoosa got shutout by a very good Berlin team but still looks to be vastly improved from the last handful of years.
- Royall Panthers (3-1) ^1Royall rolled offensively again with a 46-28 victory over rival Brookwood. Things get tough in the SBC this week with a matchup at Hillsboro.
- Hillsboro Tigers (3-1) ^1 Hillsboro squashed Necedah last week and sets up a big homecoming matchup with Royall this week. This game could have big playoff implications.
- Cashton Eagles (3-1) ^1 Cashton overcame a slow start to pound New Lisbon 49-20. Cashton is a young team that will only get better as the season moves on.
- Bangor Cardinals (2-2) –3 Bangor is probably ranked too low on my power rankings after a tough loss to Ithaca.
- Adams-Friendship Green Devils (2-2) – Adams-Friendship is coming off a big loss to Wisconsin Dells and will try to bounce back on the road vs Waupun.
- Mauston Golden Eagles (1-3) NR Mauston got their first win of the season over Wautoma last week but is still trying to improve especially on the defensive side of the football.
