Mary L. Wallner, age 97, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A celebration of life at the VFW in Adams will follow. 

Mary was born July 17, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Mathew and Fannie (Kravanya) Komatz.

She attended Fairview Fernwood, West Milwaukee High School, graduating in 1944.

Mary married Marvin Robert Wallner on September 20, 1947, in West Allis, WI. Marvin passed away on October 13, 2016.  She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for 19 years and retired in 1984 before moving to Adams County in 1985.

Mary enjoyed golf, baking, traveling, reading, feeding & watching the birds, and especially spending time with her family. 

She was a member of the Roche-A-Cri Recreation Ladies League, Couples League, and Woodland Lutheran Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; parents: Mathew & Fannie; brothers Ernie, Matt & Joey, and sisters Rose & Ann.

Survivors include her sons Daniel (Tara) Wallner, Randy Wallner, Rick Wallner (Terri), and Michael (Toni) Wallner; grandchildren Brandon Wallner (Becky), Raeann (Bryan) Volk, Jason Wallner, Jessica Wallner, Cortney (Dan) Sunderlage, Megan (Scott) Fritton, Nicole (Joel) Gilbert, and brother Edward (Sue) Komatz.  Mary is further survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Dean Kirsenlohr, age 68, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adams, Wisconsin. Rev. John Krebs will officiate. Interment will be at the Hancock Cemetery,
Hancock, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Roseberry’s Funeral Home, and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Dean was born May 30, 1956, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to William and Joyce (Jones) Kirsenlohr. He graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1974 and later from MSTC with a degree in Woodworking & Carpentry. Dean married Donna Heaney on July 27, 1985, in Adams. After working side by side with his uncle Melvin in the construction business for many years, he started his own business “Deans Cabinets” and was well known in the area for making quality cabinets and woodworking products. In his younger years, Dean was involved in the local 4H as a leader and softball coach to Alan, Nancy & his siblings.

Dean was very passionate about fishing & deer, turkey, geese & duck hunting. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends who shared his passions. Dean especially enjoyed the annual family fishing trips up north. His family always teased him that, “he could catch a fish in a mud puddle with a stick” to which he would just smile and say, “Probably”! He was an avid golfer & got two hole-in-ones over the years.

Dean was met at the gates of Heaven by his son Kyle, and his parents Bill & Joyce.

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years Donna, son Alan (Gena) of Maple Park, IL; daughter Nancy of West Bend, WI; granddaughters Kassandra (Tom) Baggs of Neenah, WI; Marissa Erickson of North Hills, CA; Nicole (Tim) Janko of Sun Prairie, WI, and Caitlyn Hauser (Josh) of Port Washington, WI; 9 great-grandchildren, and one more expected in December. Sisters Sue Welsh of Wautoma, Lynn (Robb) Dehmlow of Westfield, Cindy (Todd) Piper of Whitewater, WI; brothers Bruce (Jane) of Friendship & Curt of Arkdale. He is further survived by numerous nieces & nephews and his beloved hunting dog Shyla.

Deans’ family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with condolences & offers to help in any way these last few weeks & months.

Christopher Robert Anderson, D.C., 41 of Reedsburg passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in his sleep on Wednesday, June 5th 2024.  He was born on March 16, 1983, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center to Dr. Robert and Edna Anderson.  Growing up in Reedsburg, he attended St. Peter’s Lutheran School then graduated in 2001 from Reedsburg High School.  During his youth, he was involved with theater and the arts as well as Boy Scouts, reaching the rank of Eagle Scout.  He received an Associate’s Degree in Art’s and Science from U.W. Baraboo in 2003, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from U.W. Madison then later U.W. Milwaukee in 2006.  Chris followed in his father’s footsteps when he graduated with a Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2011, where he earned innumerable awards and honors.  He then joined his father at Anderson Chiropractic Clinics, later taking over the business and growing it into Anderson Integrative Clinics and Motiv8 Children’s Therapy. He traveled all over the country to teach clinicians and their teams how to reach their maximum potential and he imparted his knowledge in ways that no one else could:  jumping on tables, dancing, and even wearing wigs for his audiences.

Over the years, Chris held multiple advanced certifications such as Medical Compliance Specialist, Certified Insurance Consultant, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, DOT Physician Examiner, and many more.  He was especially proud of his international outreach through the Palmer Clinic Abroad Program, where he provided care to underprivileged patients in many countries including Vietnam, India, South America and Figi.  In 2023 Chris was honored as the “Chiropractor of the Year” from the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin; “his energy and passion touched everyone who had the privilege to know him”.   

Above all, Chris enjoyed supporting the Reedsburg community as a whole, being an active member in Rotary Club, Boy Scouts Troop 44, Reedsburg Masonic Lodge, Reedsburg United Way, Freedom Fest, and more.  He was always finding time in his busy schedule to volunteer at almost every community event including Brat Bash and Dash, Butterfest, and no United Fund Radio Auction was complete without him MC’ing.  

Chris’s true love was travel and the outdoors.  He enjoyed multiple trips within the United States as well as worldwide; his favorite places being Hawaii, Fiji, Paris, and visiting his chosen family in Arizona, Mississippi, and Door County.  When not traveling or working, you could find him hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, boating, and swimming all of which with his four-legged children Madison then Dutchess.  Where ever Chris was, there was always a camera on the ready, and many have been blessed to see his photographs on display in both the Mauston and Reedsburg offices, if not being gifted with one or two of their own.  Chris leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication to his family and friends. His imprint is lasting in the Chiropractic profession as well as the Reedsburg community, but spreads far beyond. 

With traveling all over the country to teach almost every other weekend Chris gave tremendous attention and love to his “travel family”. Even the Delta Air lines agents knew him at a glance and were always ready to give him a hug and welcome.  He treated each one of his co-speakers with unbelievable respect and unselfishly poured out his love of life, so each one felt elevated every time they met. Chris always thought of others first, willfully putting their needs above his.  He treasured their companionship above all else.   Chris joyfully developed a complex family tree, putting his friends as distant cousins, uncles, a twin, a dad, a work wife, a stepbrother and several sisters.  No one was far from his thoughts for very long and everyone has a story of how he went above and beyond to help or serve them.  He has forever changed each and every one of the thousands of doctors and their staff he had the opportunity to teach. His laughs and smiles will live on in their hearts and minds forever.  We will all miss our beloved Chris.

He is survived by his parents: Dr. Robert and Edna Anderson of Reedsburg, brother: Nicholas (Trisha) Anderson of Reedsburg, nephew and niece:  Alexander and Savannah, many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as his many chosen godchildren and chosen family.  He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Raymond and Phyllis Anderson, maternal grandparents: Roger and Hester Nelson.

In Chris’s honor (and in lieu of a destination funeral), the family asks that all those attending the visitation and funeral wear their favorite UW Badger gear or another item representing their connection to Chris. 

Funeral Services for Chris will be on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg.  Visitation will be on Friday June 14, 2024 also at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. and on Saturday from 1:30 pm until 2:15 pm.  Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg.

In Chris’s honor (and in lieu of a destination funeral), the family asks that all those attending the visitation and funeral wear their favorite UW Badger gear or another item representing their connection to Chris. 

In Lieu of flowers, the family STRONGLY requests all donations be made to a memorial fund being established in Chris’s name for future Scholarships. Checks can be made out to: the Dr. Chris Anderson Memorial fund.

Janet Mary Fait, age 77, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024 at her home just as she wanted, on Castle Rock Lake in Wisconsin. She was surrounded with love by family. We reminisced, laughed and cried. “All people die, but not all people live.” Jan (aka Mom, Nana,
Pean, Janey pants) lived!

She packed so much life into her seventy-seven years. She traveled, gambled, shopped, shopped again, shopped some more, chased her dreams, worked in a profession she loved, expanded her career, fell in love, raised two wonderful children, won the best Nana award, survived after breaking her neck; and still put one foot in front of the other battling what she knew from the start was an incurable cancer. She did so with grace, dignity, integrity and courage.

Jan graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1967 and started working in numerous primary nurse positions in Acute Care, Intensive Care, School nursing and Geropsych. In 1973, she received her Public Health Nursing Certification from Viterbo College.
She then expanded her career to Director of Public Nursing Service, Director of Home Health, Nurse Manager and Nursing Administrator. She was loved by so many for her dedication, compassion and laughter. She will be deeply missed.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and grandson. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Mark) Ertel; son, Chad (Jen Ishaug) Fait; grandson, Ryan Ertel; faithful furry companion, Minnie Fait; and several nieces and nephews.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at Crandall’s Funeral Home in Mauston, Wisconsin on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4-7 PM. An informal gathering will be held after at The Lodge at Mauston.

We will all hold Jan close to our heart. Always remember to: “Life is short. Take the trip. Buy the shoes. Eat the donuts. Buy the Jewelry.”
