Search Warrants Lead To Several Arrests in Adams County

On the morning of August 9th, 2025 the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received credible information pertaining to the potential use and distribution of controlled substances between two locations. Deputies and Investigators quickly worked to secure search warrants at these locations. The first being in the 2900 block of Brentwood Drive and the second being only a short distance away in the 2900 block of Crestwood Lane, both in the Township of New Chester. Both search warrants were served on the afternoon of August 9th.
Upon further investigation and searching of the associated properties, multiple items of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were located. Additionally a third search warrant was obtained and served in the 1000 block of Fern Ave, Township of Springville, on August 14th.
Multiple subjects were taken into custody or had charges referred to the Adams County District Attorneys Office.
Justine Doucette, age 51 of Grand Marsh, WI – Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Leighton Brazwell, age of 55 of Grand Marsh, WI – Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Ashey Rizer, age 38 of Oxford, WI – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Probation Hold
Audrey Hill, age 40 of Adams, WI – Probation Hold
Terrance Prutzman, age 45 of Grand Marsh, WI – Probation Hold
Dean Best, age 50 of Springville, WI – Probation Hold
On August 11th, Doucette and Brazwell had bail/initial appearances in Adams County Circuit Court Branch 1 and were each released on $1,500 signature bonds. Best has also been released. At the time of this release, Rizer, Hill and Prutzman remain incarcerated in the Adams County Jail.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lifestar Ambulance.

Two Arrested in Child Sexual Assault Investigation in Adams County

As a result of an ongoing Criminal Investigation into allegations of sexual assault to multiple children, Nicole Prutzman, age 39, and James Prutzman, age 46, both of Wautoma, WI were arrested on August 11, 2025 and transported to the Adams County Jail.
Criminal Complaints have been filed and Nicole Prutzman has been charged with Sexual Intercourse with a Child, Two counts of Incest, and Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child. James Prutzman has been charged with Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child, 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child under 16 Years of Age, and Three counts of Incest with Child. Further charges are believed to be updated as the investigation continues.
On August 13, 2025 James and Nicole had their initial appearances in Adams County Circuit Court Branch I, a cash bail for both Nicole and James was set at $50,000 each. At the time of this release, both Nicole and James remain incarcerated in the Adams County Jail.
Due to the gravity of the charges as well as the ongoing investigation, no further details or information will be released at this time.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office.
Necedah Man Station at Fort McCoy Charged with Possessing Child Pornography

A Necedah man stationed at Fort McCoy faces three felony charges for possessing child pornography after investigators discovered hundreds of illegal images and videos linked to his online accounts.
Coady Allen Loy, 36, was charged April 14 in Juneau County court with three counts of possession of child pornography. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Loy is currently free on $7,500 bond after initially being held on $50,000 cash. Court records list addresses at Fort McCoy military base, where he has lived since at least May 2025.
The investigation began March 6 when the Wisconsin Department of Justice received a tip about illegal content showing two young girls. Investigators traced the material to internet accounts registered to Coady Schiltz of Necedah, which they later determined was Loy’s former name.
Court documents show investigators obtained search warrants for two messaging accounts. The accounts contained 699 and 375 files respectively, mostly videos and images.
According to the criminal complaint, Loy used these accounts to communicate with other users about trading illegal material. In messages reviewed by investigators, he discussed access to content involving children, saying he was looking to build “my younger stuff.”
The complaint shows Loy had been traveling between Wisconsin and St. Louis for work. Investigators learned he was scheduled to travel to South Korea for military purposes on April 12, just two days before charges were filed.
As part of his bond conditions, Loy cannot have contact with anyone under 18 years old and was ordered to surrender his passport to the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department. He is prohibited from using any internet-capable devices except government-issued computers for work and communication with his attorney. He cannot leave Wisconsin.

Rare Lizard Could Have Incidental Taking in Adams County

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) proposes to issue a permit for the incidental taking of a rare lizard, which may result from the WRPCO Westwind SCA Trail Relocation Project in Adams County.
Incidental take refers to the unintentional loss of individual endangered or threatened animals or plants that does not put the species’ overall population at risk.
The Wisconsin River Power Company (WRPCO) proposes to relocate approximately 284.2 feet of its Shoreline Commons Area (SCA) trail, which was originally inadvertently placed on private property, onto its own property. Thirty feet of the relocated trail will be an elevated boardwalk connecting the SCA trail to the association’s existing stairway (for dock access). The trail not covered by the elevated boardwalk will have wood chips placed on the trail for easy maintenance.
The presence of the state endangered slender glass lizard is confirmed in the vicinity of the project site. DNR staff determined that the proposed project may result in the incidental taking of one or more lizards.
The DNR concludes that the proposed project is not likely to appreciably reduce the likelihood of the survival or recovery of the species within the state, the whole plant-animal community of which it is a part of or the habitat that is critical to its existence.
Conservation measures to minimize the adverse effects on the endangered species will be incorporated into the proposed Incidental Take Permit.
