Account Executive – Radio/Web Sales

We have an immediate opening for an Account Executive responsible for assisting dozens of businesses with their sales and marketing plans.  WRJC is looking for an aggressive, team-oriented, top-performing sales person able to create ideas, solve customer’s challenges, and achieve goals.  This Account Executive will possess great written and oral communication skills, computer skills, time-management, and organizational skills.  A good driving record and reliable vehicle required.  Sales experience a definite plus.  We offer a generous base salary based on experience, plus commission, car allowance, continual training, and other benefits including being part of a fast-paced, high-energy group in a fun business.

Traffic Coordinator/Bookkeeper/Executive Assistant
The Traffic Coordinator part of this position manages the daily preparation and maintenance of on-air logs, managing commercial inventory while helping to maximize revenue. Daily, you will use broadcast software to enter and schedule spots in order to maximize station revenue.  Traffic duties include posting of daily logs and preparation and maintenance of reports. Experience with broadcast software is not required, however the ability to problem-solve, stay consistent with station goals, and communicate and work effectively with Sales staff, customers, and vendors is indeed required, along with comprehensive computer skills.
The Bookkeeper part of this position requires you to be proficient with QuickBooks accounting software.  Bookkeeping duties include, but are not limited to; entering invoices, printing invoices, mailing statements, entering payments, deposits, payments, checks, preparing reports, etc.  An advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus.
Professional written, electronic, and presentation skills are required for the Executive Assistant portion of this position.  Being able to take ownership of short-term projects, be given a concept/vision and put the rest together on your own is what this is all about.  Initiate innovative problem solving and decision-making skills to help achieve station management goals.
Duties of this position also includes answering phones, greeting people coming into the lobby, facilitating prize distribution, and various secretarial duties, along with whatever else you make of it.

Radio Personality

Afternoon Drive Host/Sales/Promotions/Web Design/Social Media/Weekend Host/Shopping Show Host & Coordinator
The Afternoon Host duties are the ‘glamour’ part of this multi-faceted position.  Attention to detail, creativity, high-energy are the requirements of this position, along with the obvious public speaking and verbal communication skills.  Other On-Air duties include Remotes, Weekend shifts, and hosting the Shopping Show at times.
The Sales part of this position is where you can really impact many businesses positively, including your own personal business.  You will be given plenty of leads and ongoing training and support.
The ideal candidate will be able to also lead our Website development and Social Media goals.
