Meat Cutter/Production; 1st shift, Full time

 

We are looking for motivated, reliable self starters that are not afraid to work and work well with others.  Attention to detail and pride in work is a must. We produce food items for human consumption and sanitation and food and personal safety is our main concern.

Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:  Proficient and safe use of a butcher knife and power tools, identifying and butchering cuts of meats and carcasses.  Handling and breaking down and carrying animal carcasses.  Clean up and maintenance of tools, equipment and work area.  Maintain an organized work area.   Additional tasks as assigned.  May include Slaughtering, Cleaning and Skinning of Meat animals based on performance and skill level.

 

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License, as you will be required to operate company vehicles and equipment.  Must have a reliable mode of transportation.  Must pass a background check.

Must be able to tolerate strenuous work, grasp and use handheld tools for a long period of time, be able to reach above shoulders and below waist repeatedly, bend at the waist and squat repeatedly, stand for long periods of time and be willing and able to safely and repeatedly lift and carry 75 or more lbs.  Must be good with sudden extreme temperature changes, and hot or cold humid environments. Must be willing to work with raw meat and animal waste materials.

Must be able to understand written and verbal direction, document completed work, possess basic math skills and be willing to complete additional assigned tasks as needed.

Actual shifts may vary upon completion of daily assigned cleanup/ sanitation tasks.
M-F – 7am-5pm or until job completion
Sat – 8am – 5pm (on Rotation) or until job completion
Sunday(occasional) 10am – 1pm or until job completion.
(For a couple of weeks during venison season it is an all hands on deck environment, everyone works extra hours, with varied days off.)

Earn a WEEKLY paycheck with OVERTIME opportunities. Earn generous attendance BONUSES, paid weekly. Earn a bonus for working Sunday’s.

 

Meat cutting/Butcher experience is always welcome but not required. We will train the right applicant. A good job safety record is a plus.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE / DELIVERY DRIVER; 1st Shift, Full time

Wisconsin River Brands is seeking a thorough, versatile, and enthusiastic sales professional to join our Sales Department at Wisconsin River Meats. The successful applicant will occupy a sales and delivery position within the company. This is a year-round, full time position with competitive compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions
o Service existing accounts in product sales, delivery, stocking, and collections
o Establish new accounts and maintain routes and merchandise
o Complete sales route paper work daily
o Provide polite and efficient service to all customers and people encountered in public
o Promote assigned specials and meet sales goals
o Collaborate with company leadership to promote signature items in keeping with brand philosophy, and maintain a professional appearance
o Manage customer inventory and ensure products are fresh rotated to ensure food safety and company image
o Defensive and cautious driving skills

Preferred Qualifications, Education, and Experience
o Minimum of High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
o Experience in sales and customer service preferred but will train right applicant
o Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid state-issued Driver License with an acceptable driving record that would not exclude you from access to Military or Federal Installments.
o MUST PASS a background check

Sanitation Team Member  – 2nd shift.

We are looking for motivated, reliable self starters that are not afraid to work and work well with others.

Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:   Cleaning, Sanitizing and Maintaining plant areas, equipment, tools and grounds in accordance with Wisconsin River Meats Policy.  Work with customers for order pick-ups.

 

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid Driver’s License and have a reliable mode of transportation, as you will be required to operate company vehicles and equipment.

Minimum Educational requirements; High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is a must.
Must be able to pass a background check and have a good attendance records at previous places of employment. Must be available to work afternoons and evenings and some weekend hours. Must be able to reach above shoulders and below waist repeatedly, bend at the waist and squat repeatedly, stand for long periods of time and be willing and able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 or more lbs. repeatedly. Must be good with sudden extreme temperature changes, and hot or cold humid environments. Must be willing to work with raw meat and animal waste materials.

Must be able to understand written and verbal direction, document completed work, and be willing to complete additional assigned tasks as needed.
