Royall Blasts North Crawford in Volleyball Regional Semi

The Royall Panthers volleyball team routed North Crawford 3-0 Thursday night in a WIAA D5 Regional Semi-Final matchup.  Royall won by scores of 25-18, 25-11, and 25-13.  Bria Gruen led the way with 16kills while Laya Wainwright also had double digit kills for the Panthers.  Royall will move on to face De Soto in a WIAA Regional Final in Elroy Saturday night.  Royall improves to 23-7 on their season.  North Crawford finishes their season at 7-17.

Royall Sweeps Necedah Wins Outright SBC Volleyball Championship

The Royall Volleyball team claimed an outright Scenic Bluff Conference Championship by sweeping Necedah 3-0 Thursday night by scores of 25-14, 25-15, and 25-18.  The seniors shined on senior night for Royall Brian Gruen had 11kills and a pair of aces, Laya Wainwright had 8kills and 3aces, Liza Krueger had 6kills, while Ella Schroeder had 5aces. Royall improves to 22-7 on their season and finishes conference play with a 13-1 record.  Necedah got a team high 3aces from Camryn Nielsen in the loss.  Necedah drops to 1-13 in the conference and 4-21 overall.  Necedah will travel to Whitehall on Tuesday for a Division 4 WIAA Regional Quarter-Final.  Royall has a first round bye into the regional semi-final next Thursday where they will battle either North Crawford or Ithaca.

Royall Volleyball Clinches Share of SBC Crown

The Royall Panthers clinched no worse than a share of the Scenic Bluffs Volleyball Conference championship Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory over Wonewoc-Center.  Royall won the sets 25-20, 25-22, and 25-20. Royall got a game high 15kills from senior Bria Gruen while Laya Wainwright had 6kills and 4aces.  Elizabeth Klipstein also added 4aces for the Panthers.  Wonewoc-Center battled hard in ever set but fell short.  Avery Miller had 7kills for the Wolves.  Wonewoc-Center falls to 12-9 on the season and 7-6 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference.  Royall improves to 21-7 overall and 12-1 in the Conference.  Royall can win an outright championship with a win over Necedah on Thursday.  A game you can hear on NOW92oneFM and WRJC.com

Royall Wins Pair to Remain in 1st Place in Scenic Bluffs Volleyball

The Royall Panthers volleyball team still controls its own destiny for an outright Scenic Bluffs Conference championship after winning two games Thursday night.  Royall swept Hillsboro 3-0 by scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-10.  Royall then squared off with Cashton the only team within the conference to have defeated Royall this year.  Royall dropped set one 25-23 but bounced back to win the next three sets 27-25, 25-14, and 25-23.  Royall had to rally in set 2 and got a pair of aces from serving specialist Kylie Rick with the scored tied at 25 to win the set.  Bria Gruen had a big game as did Laya Wainwright for the Panthers.  The Panthers improve to 20-8 on their season and 11-1 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference.  Cashton had swept Wonewoc-Center in their first game Thursday night.  Cashton is now 17-12 on their season and 9-3 in the conference.  Wonewoc-Center defeated Hillsboro 3-2 in the other game played at Royall. 

Hillsboro Volleyball Spoils New Lisbon Senior Night

The Hillsboro Tigers Volleyball team moved over .500 on their season by taking down New Lisbon 3-1 Tuesday evening.  Hillsboro won by scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-14, 25-13.  Hillsboro improves to 15-14 on their season and 6-4 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference.  Harper Sullivan had another double digit kill game for the Tigers with 17.  New Lisbon got a solid game from senior Brooklyn Lowe. New Lisbon seniors Shayna Sletten, Lowe, Lilly Bell and Heidi Mathes were honored before the game.  Bell was named homecoming queen after the game alongside Jameson Pfaff who was named homecoming king for New Lisbon.   

Wonewoc-Center Volleyball Sweeps Necedah

The Wonewoc-Center Wolves kept their conference championship hopes alive with a 3-0 sweep of Necedah.  Freshman Eastyn Fry had a big game for the Wolves with 8kills 4blocks and 3 aces.  Bella LeMoine added 8assists and 3aces for Wonewoc-Center who improves to 5-3 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference and 10-6 overall.  Liza Kovalev had 4aces in the loss for Necedah who drops to 0-8 in the conference and 3-16 overall.  The wolves breezed thru sets 1 & 2 by scores of 25-11 and 25-13 but Necedah fought hard falling in a tight 3rd set 26-24.    

Hillsboro Battles Brookwood to the Limit in SBC Volleyball

The Hillsboro Tigers battled but fell short in a 5 set thriller to Brookwood in Scenic Bluffs Volleyball action Tuesday night.  Hillsboro rallied late in set one 25-23 to go up 1-0 but Brookwood handled sets 2 & 3 winning 25-18 and 25-14.  Hillsboro stormed back in set four 25-13 to force a winner take all 5th set.  Hillsboro had their chances in set 5 but ultimately fell 15-12.  Harper Sullivan had a strong game for the Tigers with double digit kills and Alaina Clark and Halle Mae Hora also had strong games in the middle for the Tigers.  Reagan Muehlenkamp had 19kills and 20digs to lead the Falcons.  Brookwood improves to 5-1 in the conference and 15-7 overall.  Hillsboro drops to 2-4 in the conference and 9-12 overall. 

Hillsboro Volleyball Picks Up 1st Bluff Victory

The Hillsboro Tigers Volleyball team picked up their first conference win of the season rallying past New Lisbon 3-1.  The Rockets blasted off in set one winning 25-22 but Hillsboro took the next 3 sets 25-12, 25-22, and 25-17.Lauren Woirol and Harper Sullivan each had double digit kills for the Tiers while Kaylee Sake added a few big aces.  Heidi Mathes had a strong game for the Rockets with a handful of kills and a few blocks at the net.  Hillsboro improves to 1-3 in the conference while New Lisbon falls to 1-3 in the Scenic Bluffs Conference.
