New Lisbon Competes at Bruce Brewer T&F Invite
The New Lisbon Track and Field team competed Tuesday night at the highly competitive Bruce Brewer Invitational. The boys team finished 6th and the girls team came in 15th. Placing in the top three and earning medals were:
Jameson Barker with a first place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.92 which is 2 hundreds of a second off a school record that has stood since 1985
Jake Cox finished second in long jump with a new personal record jump of 20 feet 5 inches
And Blake smith finished 3rd in shot put.
Hillsboro Softball Blasts Brookwood in SBC Action
The Hillsboro Tigers softball team used a high powered offense to push past Brookwood 13-5 Tuesday evening. Hillsboro had 13 runs on 16hits in the victory. Jaelyn Bloor led the way by going 4×5 with 3RBI’s at the plate she also picked up the victory inside the circle for the Tigers. Peyton Sullivan went 3×5 with 3RBI’s and Kiana Liska 2×4 with 3RBIs. Everyone in the Hillsboro lineup reached base safely in the victory. Brookwood got homeruns by Emily Cunitz and Vanessa Anderson in the loss. Hillsboro improves to 6-1 in the SBC and 10-2 overall. Brookwood drops to 3-5 in the bluffs and 5-6 overall.

Royall Blanks New Lisbon 2x in Baseball Doubleheader
The Royall Panthers completed a pair of 10-0 no hit victories over the New Lisbon Rockets Monday evening in a Scenic Bluffs Conference baseball doubleheader. Gunnar Wopat pitched his 2nd no hitter of the season in game 1 giving up no hits in 5 innings while walking 3 and striking out 8. Tyrus Wildes went 3×3 with 4RBI’s at the plate for the Panthers and Jett Bender went 1×3 with a pair of RBI’s. Seth Brandau pitched a 5 inning no-hitter for the Panthers in game two. Brandau gave up no hits walked only 1 and struck out 8 Rocket batters in the victory. Seth also went 2×2 at the plate. Mason Morrisette had a base knock for the Panthers and Jerry Dilley picked up and RBI. The Panthers improved to 10-1 on their season and 8-1 in conference action. New Lisbon drops to 4-4 in the conference and 4-6 overall.

New Lisbon Track & Field has Success at Gerard Brunner Invite
The new Lisbon Track and Field teams competed Thursday night at the Gerard Brunner Invitational in Elroy alongside 12 other teams. The boys team finished in second place and the girls team finished in 5th.
Finishing in the top 3 and earning medals for the boys were:
Jameson Barker with a first place finish in both the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles
Carson Welter with a first place in the 200 meter dash
Jake Cox with a first place finish in the long jump
Brandon Voss with a second place in the 200 meter dash
Malakai Dunham with a second place finish in the 800 meter run
Blake Smith with a second place finish in shot put
Tre Bailey with a 3rd place finish in discus
For the Girls
The 4 x 100 relay team of Carly Martinez, Landry Flint, Chloe Pfaff, and Brooklyn Lowe finished second
The 4 x 800 relay ream of Greenlee Heimer, Lily Bell, Sophia Wolf, and Klarissa Earhart finished second
And Brooklyn Lowe finished third in high jump
Next up for the Rockets is the Bruce Brewer Invitational in Bangor next Tuesday.
Mauston Grinds Out 6-2 Victory over Wautoma in Baseball Action
The Mauston Golden Eagles baseball team stayed undefeated in South Central Conference play by defeating Wautoma 6-2 on Tuesday night. Brock Massey got the win on the mound grinding out 4 innings giving up just 2 runs on 5 hits, walking 3 and striking out 7. Charlie Scott pitched the final 3 innings giving up no runs to notch the save. Bradyin Gallagher went 1×3 with an RBI for Mauston offensively and had a big defensive play throwing out a runner at first base from right field. Mauston is now 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference action. Wautoma drops to 6-5 and 3-1 in conference.
