Tomah Nurse Receives DAISY Award
A Tomah Health registered nurse has received the highly coveted DAISY award.
Ally Amberg received this year’s award during a special program at Tomah Health.
Hospital Associate Chief Nursing Officer Carrie Lord said Amberg reflects the type of care nurses provide patients at Tomah Health.
Amberg has worked at Tomah Health for six years and is the tenth person to receive the DAISY award since the hospital first implemented it in 2017. Amberg was one of 53 nurses at Tomah Health nominated for the award.
The Daisy award is a worldwide recognition program established by the not-for-profit DAISY Foundation based in Glen Ellen, California, in memory of Patrick Barnes, who died from complications from an autoimmune disease in 1999.
Tomah Health patients, families, and colleagues can nominate nurses and learn more about the award on the hospital’s website at Tomah Health – dot – org.
