Juneau County Sheriff App Download

Sign Up for Code Red Alerts

A Code Red Mobile Alert is a mobile application that provides residents with location-based emergency alerts, public safety notifications, and other important community information from local government and public safety agencies, complementing the existing CodeRED emergency notification system. This free app, available for iPhone and Android devices, uses your phone’s GPS to send targeted alerts to you even when you are traveling away from home, ensuring you receive timely, geo-targeted safety messages.

How it Works

  • Location-Based Alerts:The app sends alerts to your phone based on your current location, even when you are traveling outside your registered address.
  • Multi-Channel Communication:In addition to the mobile app, the broader CodeRED system can also deliver notifications via voice calls, text messages, and email, ensuring widespread coverage.
  • Targeted Delivery:Agencies can send alerts to specific areas, ensuring the right people receive relevant information for their location.
  • Urgent Notifications:The system is designed for fast, reliable communication during emergencies, such as severe weather, lost children, or wildfires.

What to Expect

Timely Information:You will receive updates and instructions on what to do to stay safe during emergencies.

Variety of Information:Alerts can cover a range of topics, from public safety issues to non-emergency events like boil-water notices or traffic closures.

Enhanced Awareness:By utilizing your phone’s location, the app ensures you get warnings relevant to where you are, not just where you live.
