MILWAUKEE (AP) – Wisconsin residents can expect to see plenty of trick-or-treaters wearing Buzz Lightyear and superhero costumes this year.
A price-comparison website says the outfits drawing the most interest among Wisconsin kids are those based on the movies “Toy Story,” “Avatar” and “Iron Man.”
Sortprice.com says the trends are similar nationwide.
Adults seem to favor costumes of pop-culture stars such as singer Lady Gaga and the cast of “Jersey Shore.” Also popular are Princess Leia from “Star Wars,” sexy nurses and pirates and 1980s-themed outfits.
The rankings from Sortprice.com are based on Internet searches from Wisconsin-based computers, not actual sales. That’s because the website lists merchandise for other companies but doesn’t make sales itself.
