MILWAUKEE (AP) – The two Milwaukee men charged with killing two
women and two young boys are being held on $1 million bail each.
     Twenty-three-year-old Anthony E. Barnes and 21-year-old Desmond
D. Laster are each charged with six felonies, including four counts
of being party to the crime of first-degree intentional homicide.
Barnes and Laster appeared in Milwaukee County court Friday.
Each wore handcuffs and orange prison jumpsuits. Neither man spoke
in court.
Prosecutors say the pair robbed and killed 23-year-old Rachel
Thompson last week, along with her 3- and 4-year-old sons.
The criminal complaint says Thompson’s 19-year-old roommate
helped them, and that Barnes and Laster killed the roommate later
that day.
