15 injured in multi-car foggy pileup
KAUKAUNA, Wis. (AP) – Fifteen people were being treated for
injuries following a multi-car pileup involving 38 vehicles near
Kaukauna early Friday morning.
WLUK-TV reports that Appleton Medical Center reported having 14
patients in fair or good condition and one in serious condition
following the pile up. Foggy conditions are believed to have led to
the accident shortly before 8 a.m. on Highway 41 north in Outagamie
(owt-uh-GAYM’-ee) County between Little Chute and Kaukauna.
The highway reopened around 3 p.m.
The Appleton Post-Crescent reports that 31 cars were involved in
one set of crashes while another seven collided about half a mile
away.
