The South Central and Scenic Bluffs Conferences are sending a handful of wrestlers to the state tournament this week in Madison. From the South Central at the Adams-Friendship sectional in division two; Justin Dolata of Mauston and Trenton McManus of Adams-Friendship were crowned sectional champions, while Spencer Davies and Chris Ruf of Mauston, and Max Obois of Wisconsin Dells, all placed third to advance to the state tournament. At the Seymour sectional; Nekoosa’s Clay Lieber and Dylan Bauer placed second, while Tristin Holden and Wautoma’s Bryce Bennot placed third to advance. At the Cedar Grove/Belgium sectional in division three; Westfield’s Austin McCartney, Jay Kaenel, and Tanner Akers all placed second, while Daniel Nelson and Brandon Peters placed third to advance to the state tournament. And out of the Scenic Bluffs at the Necedah sectional; New Lisbon’s Cullen Pedersen and Myles Connor, along with Royall’s Dalton Lunde, all won their sectional to make it to state. Also advancing was Hillsboro’s Max Sebranek who placed second, and Calvin Marriott of Brookwood and Brandon Schmitz of Cashton who placed third.
