WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) – Purdue took a step forward last weekend against Notre Dame.  The next test comes this weekend at No. 24 Wisconsin.  On Tuesday, coach Darrell Hazell noted that the team he watched Saturday night looked nothing like the team he saw the first two weeks this season. They didn’t need inspirational speeches, they stayed upbeat and they remained confident. Now Hazell wants to build on that foundation.  Purdue’s unforgiving schedule certainly won’t make it easy. The Badgers (2-1) have beaten the Boilermakers (1-2) seven straight times in this series, the last six by double digits and the last five by a combined score of 195-47.  To turn things around, Hazell knows Purdue must play with the same passion and confidence it had last weekend.
