The Mauston varsity girls volleyball team got their first conference win of the season as they defeated Pioneer Westfield Thursday night on the road. After dropping the first set 21-25, the Golden Eagles came back and won the next three with scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-23. The girls are now 1-1 in conference play after their loss to Wautoma last week. The JV team lost in three sets (25-27, 25-22, 13-25) and the JV Reserve dropped all three sets (17-25, 11-25, 23-25). The varsity team will be participating in the Boo Invite in Baraboo Saturday, and then they will be back at home Tuesday night to take on Adams-Friendship in South Central Conference action.
