Mauston girls’ tennis comes up short at Viroqua
Tuesday, the Golden Eagles traveled to Viroqua to take on the Blackhawks. The team fell one match short to claim a team victory. The singles match of Carissa Huebner lasted over three hours as she went down to defeat by only 5 points in a marathon game. “She battled for every point with precision and tenacity but fell short, literally, with her last shot rolling across the net and falling on her side,” said Head Coach Laura Taake. Two other victories were Ellie Luke at number three singles, and Ravina Patel at number four singles. Thursday the girls host Columbus and Wisconsin Dells in Mauston.
