Mauston boys soccer improves to 3-2 on the season
This week the Mauston High School boys soccer team was in action twice already, with a loss at Holmen 2-6 on Monday and a win at home against Wautoma on Tuesday 6-2. At Holmen, Adam Ryan and Josh McCaffery struck the net to give the MHS boys an early 2-1 lead. However, the boys had a slight mental lapse in the second half, leading to the disappointing result of a 2-6 loss. The next day, Tuesday, the Golden Eagles responded with a dominating performance beating Wautoma decisively 6-2 without most of their regular starters in place. The win brings Mauston’s record up to 3-2, setting the tone for a winning season. The Golden Eagles are in action tonight against Driftless United Football Club out of Viroqua.
