GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – As far as Green Bay Packers wide receiver
Greg Jennings is concerned, the most challenging thing about the
Chicago Bears’ home-field advantage might be the field itself.
Jennings isn’t a fan of the grass at Soldier Field, calling it
“probably the worst” in the NFL. Jennings noticed Seattle
receivers slipping as chunks of the field came up during the
Seahawks’ playoff loss in the snow at Chicago, and says the Packers
will have to pay close attention to their footing in Sunday’s NFC
championship game.
Jennings says the field could play a “huge role” in the game
but the Packers can’t let it affect the way they play.
Other players have criticized Chicago’s often-sloppy surface –
including Bears players themselves.
