The Hillsboro Tigers’ girls’ basketball team became regional champs over the weekend as they defeated Scenic Bluffs Conference foe Bangor, 35-30. After the Cardinals sank a three-pointer early in the game to take a 3-2 lead, Hillsboro would never trail the rest of the way. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Morgan Horstman who had a game-high 17 points, while the Tigers were led by Sami Levy who had a team-high 16 points. Hillsboro moves on to the sectional semifinal Thursday night at Neillsville where they will be taking on fourth-seeded Gilmanton.

The Adams-Friendship girls’ became regional champs as well as they defeated Richland Center 57-43. The Green Devils will take on Edgewood this week at Baraboo in sectional semifinal action.

Elsewhere in regional final action over the weekend; Mineral Point defeated Brookwood in division four, 51-42, while DeForest topped Reedsburg in division two, 47-20.
