(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Milwaukee Brewers have added four prospects to their 40 man roster, so they don’t lose any of them next month in the Major League Rule Five Draft. Catcher Jacob Nottingham, shortstop Mauricio Dubon, and pitchers Freddy Peralta and Marcos Diplan will be off limits to other teams who must keep the young players they draft on their big league rosters for all of next season, barring injuries. The 23-year-old Dubon is the best known of the group, after playing in the All Star Futures Game in Miami in July. He batted .274 in AA and AA last season with eight homers, 38 stolen bases, and 57 RBIs. Also Monday, the Brewers announced a 33 game exhibition schedule that starts February 23rd in Arizona with a pair of split squad games against the Cubs and Giants, and they’ll finish with a pair of exhibitions at Houston before the regular season begins.
