The Milwaukee Brewers boosted their bench just a short time before the MLB non-waiver trading deadline earlier today by adding veteran left-handed hitting outfielder Gerardo Parra from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Parra, a two-time Gold Glove winner, is hitting .259 this season with 6 HR’s and 39 rbi’s. The Brewers give up minor league pitcher Mitch Haniger and minor leaguer Anthony Banda. Parra is hopeful to join his new team in time for Friday;s game in St. Louis. Parra will replace Logan Schaefer who will be sent to AAA Nashville.
