Boggess named Marquette basketball assistant
MILWAUKEE (AP) — New Marquette women’s basketball coach Carolyn Kieger has picked Ginny Boggess as her first assistant. The school announced the hiring Thursday. Boggess brings over nine years of sideline experience to the Golden Eagles. Her most recent stint was at Columbia, where she was responsible for recruitment. Before that, Boggess spent five seasons as assistant coach and co-recruiting coordinator at Jacksonville. The Hamlin, West Virginia, native also spent two seasons as recruiting coordinator and assistant at Hofstra. Boggess graduated in 2003 from Wingate, where she was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs, averaging 10 points and five rebounds per game during her career.
