Miklavicic_webThelma June Miklavicic, age 87, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Monday, May 26, 2014 at her home in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Rev. Richard Eberly will officiate.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin at a later date.

Thelma was born May 28, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James and Cornelia (Cornelius) Luttrell.  She moved from Milwaukee to the Oneida Reservation until 1932 and then returned to Milwaukee to graduate from West Milwaukee High School.  She proceeded to attend college and to work at International Harvester.

Thelma married John L. Miklavicic on July 12, 1952  in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  On September 16, 1959 she gave birth to her only child, John M. Miklavicic.  He was her pride and joy and she lovingly raised him in Milwaukee until they moved to Friendship, WI upon completion of his High School graduation.  She continued her legacy by devoting her life to helping raise her three grandchildren, enjoying the addition of her four great-grandchildren, and caring for her husband throughout the 62 years of their marriage.

Thelma faithfully completed her life’s journey and now walks hand-in-hand with her grandson, Michael J. Miklavicic, in spirit.

Thelma enjoyed loving and being loved by her family, creating beautiful gardens, being the number one sports fan, playing the Power Ball, knitting for her loved ones, reading her bible, and enjoying a Miller Lite or a Brandy Old Fashion cocktail with good company.

Thelma was a member of the Oneida Tribe.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Connie (Cornelius) Luttrell; brother, Donald (Viv) Luttrell; and grandson,  Michael Miklavicic.

God-child and Niece:  Valerie (Willie) Wilkiewicz of Kingman, Arizona
Nephew:  Chris (Ruth) Luttrell of Waukesha, Wisconsin
Niece:  Kay (Craig) Panno of Waukesha, Wisconsin
Niece:  Cheryl (Scott) Brooks of Waukesha, Wisconsin
