Donald R. Henningsen, age 81, of Adams, Wisconsin died unexpectedly Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Marshfield

Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

A graveside memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Lake View Cemetery, Town of Jackson, Adams County, Wisconsin.


Donald was born February 19, 1938 in Portage, Wisconsin to Russell and Vera (Phillips) Henningsen.

He grew up in Adams County and graduated from Adams-Friendship High School.  He served in the United States Air Force from May of 1960 until he was honorably discharged in February of 1964.

Don worked for the Adams County Sherriff’s Department from Frank Serles to Bob Farber as a deputy. In his later years, he worked in the trade field.

Don loved going to the local town café with his buddies, golfing, hunting, fishing with his friends and family, and “bumming” around town with his dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell & Vera Henningsen; significant other, Sandie Schone and sister, Darlene Miller.

Survivors include his son, Gary (Rhonda) Henningsen; grandson, Tristen Henningsen; Herb (RaeAnn) Schone and their children & grandchildren of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Tim (Tori) Schone & their children of Jackson, WI.
