Governor Tony Evers’ office says work on two juvenile prisons could start soon as the existing troubled facilities in Irma are shut down.  One prison would be located in Milwaukee and the second in Outagamie County.  The most serious offenders would be housed there in facilities operated by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  Tuesday’s announcement comes just a few weeks after the governor said he wants to delay the closing of the Lincoln Hills prisons by two years.
