Wisconsin-Officer Slain
MILWAUKEE (AP) – A decorated Iraq War veteran is due in court accused of fatally shooting his wife, a suburban Milwaukee police officer. Thirty-year-old Benjamin G. Sebena is scheduled to attend a preliminary hearing Thursday morning to face a first-degree intentional homicide charge. He’s accused of ambushing 30-year-old Jennifer Sebena while she conducted a solo patrol in the predawn hours of Christmas Eve. Prosecutors say he shot her multiple times in the head, and that he told investigators he was a jealous husband. Ben Sebena’s defense attorney, Michael Steinle, has not returned messages seeking comment. Ben Sebena is being held on $1 million cash bail. Jennifer Sebena was in her second year with the Wauwatosa police department. Ben Sebena was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2005.
