Wife Killed-Trial
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) – An attorney for the Fond du Lac man accused of killing his wife says the woman’s death was accidental. Thirty-six-year-old Jason Anderson is being tried in Fond du Lac County on charges of intentionally shooting his 33-year-old wife, Nicole, in the head in November 2011. Defense attorney Robin Shellow says Jason Anderson heard a noise in their home the night his wife was killed and fired his gun through the wall of their bedroom. Shellow says the first shot caused Anderson to accidentally fire a second shot, which is the one that killed Nicole. The Fond du Lac Reporter (http://fondul.ac/11ErkES ) says District Attorney Dan Kaminsky questioned why Anderson didn’t call for help after his wife was shot. Anderson was arrested at a motel in Birmingham, Ala., two days later.
