Waukesha convenience store clerk killed
WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) – Police say robbery may have been the motive in the apparent shooting death of a convenience store clerk in Waukesha Fifty-six-year-old Nayyer (nay-yeer) Rana was found dead at the Petro Mart gas station before 4:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Police Capt. Ron Oremus says preliminary indications are the victim was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not determined how much – if any – money is missing.
A customer discovered the body. WTMJ-TV reports there have been no arrests, and police say they have not identified a suspect.
Rana’s family and friends are offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
This is the first homicide in Waukesha in 2012. The city had no homicides last year.
