Prison time for driver in fatal motorcycle crash
RACINE, Wis. (AP) – The driver of a motorcycle that crashed in Racine County and killed a female passenger will spend time in prison. A Racine County judge called Brandon Seibert a “train wreck waiting to happen” in sentencing him to six years in prison and 10 years of supervision Thursday. Twenty-four-year-old Melissa Corona was killed in September 2011 when the bike Seibert was driving crashed in a construction zone. Seibert didn’t have a license, was speeding and fled from the crash scene. Family members say Corona was raising a son, now 4, attending the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and waitressing at a restaurant. The Journal Times says Seibert must also pay a $2,500 fine.
