WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) – A Wisconsin Rapids man has pleaded not guilty to growing marijuana, even though authorities say they have surveillance video showing him watering the plants. A criminal complaint says police learned about some marijuana plants growing on property owned by NewPage Holdings and at another location in Wisconsin Rapids. Officers set up trail cameras at the two locations. The complaint says the camera shows Christopher Dale bringing water to the plants, turning the camera away from the crop, then turning it back to its original position about an hour later. The Daily Tribune Media reports authorities say several days later Dale is shown using a bolt cutter to remove the camera, which they say was found smashed near his home. The 40-year-old Dale is due back in court on Jan. 3.
