EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) – Former Leader-Telegram publisher Charles Graaskamp of Eau Claire has died. He was 79.  Leader-Telegram editor Don Huebscher says Graaskamp died Tuesday night at home of cancer.   Graaskamp spent 42 years with the Eau Claire Press Co. and was former company president. He retired in 2001 but continued to serve on the company’s board of directors.
 Graaskamp led the Press Co. through a growth period that included construction of a new printing plant that opened in 1998. The Leader-Telegram (http://bit.ly/17XErER) reports he also was a defender of freedom of information efforts.  His son, Pieter, is the current Eau Claire Press Co. president and Leader-Telegram publisher.  The Press Co. also publishes the weekly Country Today newspaper focusing on rural life.   Services will be Monday at Christ Church Cathedral in Eau Claire.
