Missing man-Homicide
MADISON, Wis. (AP) – A Madison man accused of torturing and killing his disabled half-brother has been ordered to stand trial. A WISC-TV report says Jeffrey Vogelsberg appeared in Dane County court Thursday for a preliminary hearing. The 28-year-old is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and being party to the crime of hiding a corpse. His bail was previously set at $1 million. Prosecutors say Vogelsberg regularly tortured Matthew Graville, a 27-year-old autistic man who died in July. The criminal complaint says Vogelsberg beat him and repeatedly shot him with a BB gun. Graville had Asperger’s syndrome, an autism-spectrum disorder. Detectives found his body buried in the woods months after he disappeared.
