DE PERE, Wis. (AP) – Wisconsin-based airline MetJet says it will soon stop flying. The year-old De Pere-based airline is canceling flight operations at the end of next week. MetJet officials say flights scheduled for Wednesday, Saturday, and Oct. 23 will continue as scheduled, but operations will halt Oct. 26. Press-Gazette Media reports the company says it is preparing refunds for customers who qualify. MetJet CEO Michael Heisman says in a release that looking at the months ahead, it’s clear the airline does not have enough demand or customers to continue operating. WLUK-TV reports reservations for resorts booked through MetJet are not affected. MetJet offered flights from Green Bay to Orlando and Fort Myers, Fla.; Minneapolis and Cancun, Mexico.
