BELOIT, Wis. (AP) – Beloit police have identified the person who died in a weekend park shooting as a 16-year-old boy. Authorities say Jose Carruthers-Paramo, of Beloit, died in the shooting Saturday night that also left two others with gunshot wounds and a third person with other injuries. Investigators say they have been unable to talk to another male who was shot because of his medical condition. Police say a 14-year-old Beloit girl was also shot in the park, but didn’t arrive at Beloit Memorial Hospital until later that night. A fourth person, a 20-year-old Madison man, was treated at the hospital for injuries suffered during the incident. Police say the circumstances that led up to the shooting are still unclear.
