MADISON, Wis. (AP) – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is planning an online chat about efforts to bolster whooping crane populations. The chat is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Oct. 31. Participants can join by visiting the DNR’s website and entering the phrase “ask the experts” in the search box or by visiting the agency’s Facebook page and clicking on the “Cover it Live Chat” box on the top of the page. Davin Lopez, the DNR’s whooping crane coordinator, Joan Garland, outreach coordinator for the International Crane Foundation, and Heather Ray, the associate director of development for Operation Migration, will lead the chat.
