MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Nearly 1,000 free infant safety seats and booster seats will be distributed across Wisconsin next week as part of national Child Passenger Safety Week.  The Wisconsin State Patrol is distributing the seats to about two dozen hospitals, clinics and others to be given to eligible low-income mothers and families. The seats were purchased with federal funding.  The Wisconsin Department of Transportation, working together with the State Patrol, are using the national safety week to issue reminders about the proper use of child safety restraints.  Instructional videos about how to determine the proper safety seat and how to use it are available on the website.
