MILWAUKEE (AP) – A special prosecutor is expected to release his final report in the case of a robbery suspect who died in the custody of Milwaukee police two years ago.  Twenty-two-year-old Derek Williams died in July 2011 after gasping for air in the back of a squad car. An inquest jury last month recommended a misdemeanor charge against three officers of failure to render aid.  Special prosecutor John Franke  is expected to release his final report Friday.  The victim’s girlfriend, Sharday Rose, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Franke met with her and family members Wednesday to say he wouldn’t file charges because he couldn’t prove a case against the officers. She says she’s determined to continue the fight.  Other officers testified that they thought Williams was faking his symptoms.
