Barron County deputy in Rusk County Jail
BARRON, Wis. (AP) – Barron County’s sheriff says a deputy has been arrested on possible charges of domestic abuse and false imprisonment. Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said in a statement that deputies responded to the man’s home in Cameron about 8 p.m. Thursday and found evidence of domestic abuse. Rusk County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate because the deputy is employed by the Barron County Sheriff’s Department. The 31-year-old deputy is being held in the Rusk County Jail. The Barron County district attorney will consider charges next week. Deputies are also recommending charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
