Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature have been saying for months that they wouldn’t accept the expansion of Medicaid coverage.  Vos says nobody should be surprised by Thursday’s action by the Joint Finance Committee to reject Governor Tony Evers plan.  Wisconsin is one of 13 states which haven’t accepted the federal funding.  Republicans say they don’t want to move an estimated 82-thousand Wisconsin residents onto Medicaid, even though that step would give access to one-point-six-billion dollars in new federal money.
