WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) – Three Wausau men have been arrested in connection with three home break-ins that may be tied to a larger burglary ring in the area. A Daily Herald Media report (http://wdhne.ws/J2fzmi ) says the three were arrested Friday following a stakeout. The suspects are 26, 25 and 18 years old. Police Capt. Greg Hagenbucher says the latest three burglaries occurred last month while the homeowners were away for an extended period of time. Police say evidence recovered during the investigation suggests the three may have been involved in at least two other burglaries. Officers are also checking with other authorities to see if the three are linked to similar burglaries and a stolen vehicle. The men are being held in the Marathon County jail pending formal charges.
