October 6-13th National 4-H Week
contributed…..Blackhawk 4-H club is a busy family-oriented club that focuses on community service, cloverbud learning and fun! We generally meet on the second Sunday of the month at United Methodist Church in Mauston. This year three of our families hosted international visitors. Some of our annual activities include a Halloween party, Christmas party, and July picnic. We sing and decorate at the Boorman House for Christmas, host a Lick Leukemia campaign in the spring, and sell candy trains for the Community Sharing Pantry. We have helped at several of the Sharing Suppers and also make tray favors at Thanksgiving and Easter for Meals-On-Wheels patrons. Recreation activities also include roller skating, sledding, swimming, and play acting. If you have any questions about our club, please contact Diane Huebner at 608 547-7460.
