“Upon the recommendation of the Village of Necedah Plan Commission, the Necedah Village Board denied a rezoning request,” said Village Administrator Roger Herried.  Monday night the Board considered adopting an ordinance to amend the zoning district where the former Catholic Church building is located from Multi-family Residential to General Commercial District.  Herried said, “The request by the owners was denied.  The owners of the Funky Monkey in Tomah also own the former Catholic Church building.  They had considered leasing the building for a coffee shop and youth center.  But the Board decided against amending the Zoning map because it considered the change spot zoning in a residential neighborhood.”
