A Wonewoc woman and a Mauston man were taken into custody Friday morning. Mauston Police Chief Mark Messer said, “About 11:15 a.m. I was dispatched to a residence in the 700-block of Crescent Street in the City of Mauston, along with two Juneau County deputies, for a domestic disturbance.” Investigation revealed 20-year-old Nicole Leamons and 23-year-old Jason Peach were initially involved in an argument at the Peach family farm outside the Mauston city limits. Both Leamons and Peach left the farm arguing, along with their children, and arrived at the grandmother’s house on crescent street. The argument allegedly escalated to a physical confrontation. Both Peach and Leamons were arrested, transported to the Juneau County Jail and tentatively charged with domestic-disorderly conduct and battery. Leamons also had an outstanding warrant. Peach was tentatively charged with bail jumping.
