Wonewoc-Center School Board Discusses Energy Options and 2014-2015 Budget
A lot of discussion happened during the school board meeting at Wonewoc-Center Schools last Wednesday night. The school board talked about different energy options that it was investigating. Superintendent Dr. Steve Lozeau said the district was concerned with ongoing natural gas shut-offs. He said the district had two shut-offs this year and the board needed to decide to either stay with its current energy plan or to move on to a new plan. The board also had some discussion on the 2014-2015 budget. Lozeau said it was just an early discussion indicating that the board plans to have a balanced budget unless the district needs more staff. The board did approve calendar make-up days on Thursday & Tuesday of Easter weekend.
