An Adams woman was taken into custody on several active warrants from the State of Tennessee.  Police said last month an officer responded to a residence on S. Grant Street in the City of Adams for a possible fraud complaint.  Investigation revealed 39-year old Theresa Emond was wanted in Sullivan County, Tennessee on 12-counts of larceny.  Emond was identified by several scars and tattoos.  She was in a wheelchair and unable to walk.  Emond was handcuffed and transported to the Adams County Jail.  The wheelchair was placed in the trunk of the squad car and left at the jail.
