Wis Rapids motorcycle riders injured
A Wisconsin Rapids man was seriously injured as a result of a motorcycle accident over the weekend. The deputy said Saturday morning about 10am 51-year old Patrick Barrett was traveling south on County Road ‘G’ near 46th Street East in the Town of Marion. Barrett told the deputy as he rounded a curve, the throttle stuck on the 2004 Honda causing the motorcycle to accelerate instead of slow down. Barrett lost control. The bike entered the ditch and both Barrett and a passenger, 54-year old Linda Barrett, were ejected. Both were medically transported to Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston.
