Welfare check on Adams woman
An Adams woman was taken into custody early Saturday morning. Police said about 12:15am an officer responded to the Kwik Trip in Adams for a welfare check. A woman was passed out in the front seat of her vehicle with the engine running, a lit cigarette in her mouth, and a young child in the back seat. Investigation revealed 26-year old Natalie Kaehler was the woman in the car. She told the officer she had snorted Xanax and had taken muscle relaxers. Kaehler was taken into custody for OWI-1st Offense with a passenger under the age of 16. She was transported to the E.R. for a legal blood draw, then transported to the Adams County Jail. Police forwarded the case file to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office and the Health and Human Services Department.
