A Viroqua man has been sentenced for distributing child pornography.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that 36-year old Jeremy Hogenkamp was sentenced last week to 10-years in federal prison.  Hogenkamp plead guilt to the crime in September2012 and has remained in custody.  During the execution of a search warrant at his Viroqua home in February 2010, FBI agents found computer and electronic storage media containing child pornography.  At the time of the federal search warrant on Hogenkamp’s Viroqua home, he was facing La Crosse County charges for possession of child pornography.  Hogenkamp declined to have the federal case resolved in connection with the state charges, and he was sentenced in La Crosse County to four months in jail and 10-years probation.  He has completed serving the jail sentence.  The charges against Hogenkamp were the result of parallel investigations conducted by the Federal Bureau Investigation and the Toronto Police Department in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
