Viola woman passes in fog
A Viola woman was cited as a result of a two-vehicle accident in Adams County. The deputy said last month 30-year old Renee Stewart was traveling west on Highway 21. While passing two slower cars and due to the extreme dense fog, Stewart was unable to see an on-coming semi tractor-trailer. The truck driver, 54-year old William Lauth of New Jersey, attempted to avoid the collision by pulling onto the shoulder of the road. But the Stewart 2009 Chevy Cobalt struck the semi driver’s side door causing damage. Stewart received minor injuries. She was cited for ‘unsafe passing’.
