SHERIFF JOHN SPEARS REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ONGOING ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR AND NARRATIVE EXCERPTS FROM THE WEEK ENDING April 28, 2014.

4/21  Amanda Long, Readstown, was westbound on State Highway 56, Town of Liberty.  As Kurtis Woodhouse, heading eastbound, came around a curve, a tire he was transporting came out of his truck and struck the Long vehicle.  No injuries occurred.

4/25  A hit and run driver lost control of the vehicle they were driving on State Highway 80, Town of Hillsboro.  The driver left the road, struck a tree and a speed limit sign near STH 80 and Heights Road.  The vehicle is believed to be a silver or light brown GMC with extended cab with driver side damage.

4/28                 3 reportable car/deer crashes:

Thomas Mickelsen, Viroqua, on County Road J, Town of Franklin;

Edward Fronk, La Farge, on County Road P, Town of Hillsboro;

Lisa Hatfield, Viroqua, on Esofea Road, Town of Jefferson
